SQL Developer - Online Gaming/e-Gaming

POSITION INFO:

This International Development Company, specialising in the development of Online Games & Supporting products is currently expanding their Database Team and looking to appoint a SQL Developer with a minimum of 2 + years of active SQL Server (TSQL) experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree/National Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• 2 + years of active SQL Server (TSQL) development experience
• Experience with Source Control Systems (Subversion, Git, RedGate Source Control)

Key performance areas will include but may not be limited to:

• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
• Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
• Perform Code Reviews
• Liaise with QA Team to identify and fix bugs
• Maintaining data quality and overseeing database security
• Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
• Develop SSIS Packages
• Create different kinds of appropriate indexes and use indexing techniques to improve application performance
• Resolve and troubleshoot complex issues
• Maintain and manage all versions of data models for production, testing and developing databases
• Adhering to coding standards
• Participate in rotating on-call support
• Work in agile environment with stand-ups, sprints, and planning meetings
• Work in small development team taking on new features, spikes, bugs
• Plan, design, implement, document, test and release new features
