SUMMARY:
A Solar Power Solutions Company based in Sandton/Johannesburg is currently seeking a Solar Project Manager to join a close-knit team, results driven, with exceptional customer service standards. The team is performance driven with a high quality standards culture, fast moving and ( learn and grow) environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience (3 years+) in the South African solar industry working in rooftop, ground mount and carport projects for commercial and industrial.
Project Management Institute - PMI)
Project Management Certification - Added advantage
MS Office & Project tools (like helioscope, Autocad)
Experience in project management: Certified Project Management Professional
Preparing Project Material Requirements list
Responsible procurement as per the processes scheduling, logistics and health & safety
compliance.
Overseeing and conducting operations and maintenance on projects.
Responsible for managing the project program and calendar for the installation team on site
and subcontractors.
Preparing schedules , daily reports on project status , reporting on risks and changes throughout
the project.
Planning, scheduling, liaising, coordinating and monitoring C&I solar energy generation power
plants.
Reporting site assessments, pricing and logistics, design, creating schedules.
Supporting the senior engineer in the review of contracts and ensuring legal and health and
safety requirements are met.
Support the senior engineer in managing regulatory requirements, including SSEG applications.
Successful implementation of solar projects according to scope, within budget and as per strict
deadlines.
Planning, scheduling, liaising, coordinating and monitoring Commercial & Industrial solar energy
generation power plants.
Reporting site assessments, pricing and logistics, design, creating schedules.
Ensure that all technical and legislative guidelines are adhered to.
Attending regular site meetings with all clients and other stakeholders.
Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in accordance with the Health and Safety act.
Manage company vehicle fleet , driver logs and tracking.
Manage Call-outs -Customer service calls - scheduling, follow-up and repairs/ support
Attend weekly and monthly management meetings - reporting on Project status, forward planning etc..
Must have driver’s license own vehicle and a smart phone.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
