SME- End-of-Line (EOL) Packaging
Operations
Responsible for managing and optimizing the final packaging stages of a product's manufacturing process, including tasks like inspection, case erection, packing, sealing, labelling, and palletizing. Oversee the entire end-of-line process, from product inspection to palletizing and wrapping.

Ensure product protection and regulatory compliance and implement automation solutions to reduce waste and increase output.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Process Oversight
Excellent at owning, managing and driving change - a change agent within Control, Automation, Inspection, Coding and cross functionally.
Lead the execution of packaging value engineering and sustainability projects Drive effective Loop closure to prevent reoccurring downtime in packaging hall
Utilize the link between OWs and AWS to drive performance through VPO tools
Develop SWIs, SOPs and schedules reviewed and train Front Line Team
Efficiency Improvement
Analyze packaging processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
Work closely with excellent packaging technical team to develop and implement new technologies
Effectively drive MEO planning by utilizing short-, medium- and long-term action plans through focused L&W and continuous improvement projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with other teams, such as production, marketing, and supply chain, to align packaging solutions with business goals.
Communicating effectively by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding
Collaborate with both Electrical, Control & Automation teams to identify, define, develop Integration & Automation solutions for packaging
Collaboration with ZTE's, Vendor's and Reverse Engineering Specialist to deliver KPI's
Where requested, provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer of machine operation to shift based teams
Machinery & Automation
Advise on and test packaging materials, considering factors like product fragility, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
Select, implement, and maintain end-of-line packaging machinery, ensuring it is integrated efficiently with other production systems.
Research and develop solutions for complex automation challenges in the packaging environment through ZTE support
Assist with front-line support of production systems (including outside of normal working hours)
Equipment restored to an "as new" condition, in which initial deterioration is eliminated or controlled
Problem Solving
Drive projects to meet quality expectations and business objectives
Manage multiple objectives and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Actively participate in problem solving (5 Why reviews, Abnormality Reports and PDCA/ITF's) to provide deep technical knowledge to ensure correct root cause identification and that suitable preventive measures are identified and implemented
Partake in maintenance postmortems to feedback problems, opportunities and learnings from maintenance activities
Quality Control
Ensure products and packages meet quality standards, including weight checks, proper sealing, and accurate labeling.
Regulatory Compliance
Make sure packaging solutions comply with all relevant industry and shipping regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
B-tech or BSc in Electrical or Equivalent
National Diploma from Technician - Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent
Experience in Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs
Good knowledge in Networks: Asi-Interface, Profibus, Profinet, Device Net and Ethernet.
Drive knowledge in Danfoss, SEW and Simotion
Carry out housekeeping tasks, and apply 5S principles during the execution of duties
Specialized knowledge of the packaging process
In depth knowledge of field networks and HMI
Over 5 years' experience in an FMCG Environment
