The Role:

We are recruiting an SME for a permanent position in our organisation. The individual would need to roll out the software by designing and implementing the 4 types of models as described above in line with the standard by making use of Eskom development resources.

We are recruiting an SME for a permanent position in our organisation. The individual would need to roll out the software by designing and implementing the 4 types of models as described above in line with the standard by making use of Eskom development resources.  

 

Qualification Required: 

• BEng Degree (Mechanical/Chemical)

Preferred Qualification:

• Soft Skills Certificate

Experience Required:

• Ideally have a background in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 1-2 yearsâ??
• Must be able to understand and learn new assets, systems, and their contribution in a plant process
• Be able to read and work with PID`s, PFD`s and Control system mimics/ HMI screens.
• Must have a knack for process/ plant optimisation
• Background in asset performance management and plant reliability 

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reporting and business process structures need to be developed and deployed to ensure that models are current, retrained and always valid. 
• Be able to do fault identification and root-cause analysis
• Be able to do an asset risk assessment
• Be able to train data scientists on how to use complex ML solutions to improve industrial asset performance 
• Be able to drive digital adoption and assisting clients with their digital transformation
• If required be able to do plant visits and asset inspections
• An engineering and process control background 
• Sufficient training and understanding of the software package and its functionality and capabilities. 
• Capability to train the models
• Ability to deploy the models and display the results in the AVEVA Predictive Analytics dashboards

• Peoples person â?? being able to work with different plant disciplines (Operating,
• Maintenance, Engineering, etc.)
• Must be able to take lead and drive solution realisation.
• Must have strong Analytical skills
• Be able to effectively communicate as a professional
• Attention to detail and willing to learn and put in extra effort to learn and understand new concepts
