SIMS Implementation Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Cutting edge technologies • Mining Processes & Optimization • Multipurpose team Project Management • A multitude of business domains (Mining, Applications development, Optimization Implementation) JOB PURPOSE • To implement the SIMS system, guided by the delivery roadmap. • To provide guidance on technical / support issues (escalation route). • To liaise with users regarding training, issues or requests. • To ensure quality of product delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES, ACTIVITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES • System Configuration & Update o Liaison with mining crews to identify mining cycles and cycle time o Liaison with training centre on Training requirements & schedule o Liaison with engineering on machines details, rates & maintenance o Liaison with planning department on mining rules & mine planning o Liaison with HR department on employees including crews & leave calendar

Training of Employees o System training of control room operators o System training of employees o System orientation • System Hand holding o Verification of system understanding. o Running of system with employees • Reporting on System Elements o Daily reporting of system o Weekly reporting of system o Monthly reporting of system • Data Analytics o Analytics on data received from system. ▪ Standard Reports ▪ Power BI reports • Project Management & Co-ordination o Management of control room & it’s employees. o System management • Planning o Project planning and execution JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications • Software and/or Systems Development Implementation • Engineering Degree / Diploma (E.G Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering) • Project Management – preferable. Experience At least 2 years’ • Previous Mining Exposure • System optimisation Exposure • Project Management Exposure • Good knowledge of data analytics and reporting • Good computer skills, Excel • Good communication in English. Other languages will be an advantage
