ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / SHORT TERM INSURANCE

POSITION INFO:

Well established Insurance Brokerage specializing in Heavy Motor Vehicle Insurance has a vacancy for a Short Term Broker / Sales Executive with Sound Insurance and Sales Experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Client/ Company Liaison - direct sales
• Source new business, preferably in the heavy vehicles / trucking industry
• Schedule appointments as per business requirements
• Engage with potential clients and obtain a needs analysis of their short term insurance needs
• Conduct presentations to prospective clients
• Practical knowledge of transport industry i.e. career experience
• Excellent communicator - Multilingual - verbal and written
• Interpersonal competencies
• Sound negotiation and understanding skills, with the ability to rapidly establish rapport and persuade
• Ability to establish relationships with ease
• Strong ability to present, convey and sell ideas, prospects and concepts
• Interacts with others in an assertive and confident way, displaying tact and preserving the relationship as appropriate
• Dedicated to the industry, sustaining the interest of others in potential business opportunities
• Cautious when dealing with new/ prospective clients

• Responsible for policy accuracy, client satisfaction in terms of broker function
• Maintenance of KOT standard documentation as per FAIS requirements

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS:

• Grade 12
• Relevant insurance qualification (RE5 and Insurance Qualification will be required)
• Minimum 2-5 years short term (Commercial and Personal Lines) sales experience
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Target Driven
• Practical knowledge of transport industry i.e. career experience
