SUMMARY:
My client in the heavy steel urgently seeks the expertise of a well experienced, multilingual SHEQ Manager to join their team ASAP to assist and manage with the day to day Health and Safety in the factory

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

Matric
National Diploma in Safety Management or SAMTRAC

Requirements

a Minimum of 3 years in a SHEQ MANAGEMENT position in heavy steel, engineering or mining
Experience working on MS Office
The ability to speak 4 or more languages (English, Afrikaans and other African languages)

Duties

Chair weekly safety meetings
Safety reports
Inspect all H&S basis on equipment and update registers
Accident Incident board updates
Implement workshop safety
Inspect and record PPE
Safety files
Daily safety check on employees and PPE
Monthly power and water recording assistance
In-house trainer / presenter of SOP
Induction training
Assist and monitor fire drills
Factory, amblution and tearooms inspection for any damage and report thereof
Monitor job activities to ensure safety compliance
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation
Incident and accident investigation & reporting
