SHEQ Co-ordinator

SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer of agrochemicals is seeking an experience SHEQ coordinator to implement and manage relevant Acts, Regulations and Management Systems across all departments, ensuring compliance to site, client specific and legislative requirements, whilst maintaining and updating all relevant SHEQ related administrative duties

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary Technical and/or SHEQ qualification
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Chemical Industry is required
• Knowledge of and experience in implementing relevant SHEQ legislations are preferred
• Computer literacy in MS Office is essential and knowledge of Syspro is advantageous
• Sound knowledge of all applicable Acts, Regulations and Management Systems e.g. OHS Act, NEMA, ISO 9001; ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is essential
• Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transport

• Providing SHEQ training at different sites.
• Compiling Risk assessments as well as aspect and impact registers.
• Conducting internal and external audits and inspections.
• Reporting on non-conformances and incident investigations.
• Implementing and managing preventative and corrective action systems.
• Managing Safety Data Sheets (distribute and maintain at point of use).
• Performing contractor management and control.
• Ensuring correct document and record keeping.
• Reporting on SHEQ statistics.
• Attending and scheduling SHE committee meetings.
• Overseeing planned job observations.
• Assisting with arranging annual and follow up medicals.
• Assisting with and promoting SHEQ awareness campaigns.
