SHE Representative wanted in Pretoria

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Review the effectiveness of health and safety measures in the workplace
Identify potential hazards and potential incidents in the workplace.
Examine the causes of incidents at the workplace
Investigate employee complaints regarding health and safety.
Make representations to the employer regarding health and safety, and to an inspector
Accompany inspectors on inspections and participate in consultations with the inspectors.
Receive information from inspectors as per OHS Act
Induct new employees.
Carry out the job observation and risk assessment.
Inform management of any Health, Safety or Environment issues that may cause damage, injury, safety, or health related problems.
Attend meetings for the health and safety committee in connection with any of the above functions.
Visit the site of any incident at all reasonable times
Participate in any of the health or safety audits.
Ensure all necessary inspections are carried out prior to work
Perform any other related task
