To ensure application of and compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and legislation

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-6yrs Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
- 0-2yrs Professional registration
- Computer literacy (Basic)
- Code 08 Driver(s) license
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
- Travel off-site/overnight stay

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) tasks
- Conduct safety, health, environment and risks assessments and audits
- Complete incident investigations and record on Entropy
- Share observations with relevant Manager to create consistency in safety standards throughout the Distribution Branches
- Conduct inspections with Maintenance Managers/Departmental Managers and capture action plans on Entropy
- Coordinate/participate in SHE committee meetings
- Oversee the screening of contractor safety files for approval and ensure that proper induction was done before commencing any work on site
- Monitor and ensure safety compliance of contractors on site and their occupational health requirement
- Conduct auditing of permit to work documents issued for site work
- Coordinate Machinery Safety Assessments
- Compile site emergency plans and the training of personnel to exercise these plans
- Coordinates occupational hygiene in accordance with legal requirements
- Drive SHE Key Performance Indicators (KPI(s))
- Ensure full functionality of SHE structures at the branches
- Coordinate Induction Programme
- Arrange for maintenance of equipment and update records/registers on Entropy

Create SHE awareness
- Share relevant information timeously with all concerned
- Actively contribute to team objectives and team spirit
- Partner across teams (don''t work in isolation)
- Ensure that all relevant SHE inspection registers are handed in prior to meetings and returned to relevant departments timeously and conduct inspections with SHE Representative
- Drive SHE related visual management at the branches
- Ensure that SHE related trainings at the branches are conducted
