SHE Officer

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a SHE Officer for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• Matric (with Maths) & SAMTRAC / ND in Safety Management
• Knowledge of SHE legislation, OHS Act, COID Act, Environmental Conservation Act
• Experience in hazard identification and risk assessment in a manufacturing environment
• IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 awareness / knowledge, with ISO 19011 advantageous
• Good communication skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Generate safety awareness
• Incident investigation and safety inspections (audits)
• Safety file maintenance
• Liaise effectively with Government Depts for plant inspections
• COVID-19 system maintenance and case reporting
• Review / update Government regulations (Covid-19 / Health & Safety)
• Oversee / implement / maintain EMS (ISO 14001)
• Direct involvement and assistance regarding certification / recertification of H&S and EMS systems

 

Salary:  R17 000.00 – R20 000.00 per month
