SHE Manager / Snr Specialist: Well Delivery, Upstream Oil and Gas

SUMMARY:
Our client, one of the leading oil and gas giants in Temane Mozambique is looking to appoint a SHE Manager / Snr Specialist for their Well Delivery, Upstream Oil and Gas projects.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will oversee the drilling of new gas / oil wells, seismic activities and maintaining existing gas infrastructure, including producing and non-producing well pads / sites. The incumbent must have sufficient oil and gas (upstream) experience, with process safety and contractor management experience.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field and 15+ years of experience
• Relevant SHE qualifications Offshore survival and medical certificates.

 

Experience:

• At least 7-10+ years'' SHE/OHS experience working at a senior level in in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and safety management, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant military experience.
• Preferred 5years+ experience in SHE leadership position in Oil and Gas industry.
• Demonstrated experience of leading and developing a team or teams of employees in a matrix organization
• Demonstrated strong skills and experience in health, safety and environmental management
• Strong and pro-active communicator
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel as required
• Proven track record of SHE continuous Improvement
• Working experience with exploration operations in remote locations onshore and offshore.
• Working experience in Africa
• Must demonstrate experience developing a SHE management system and ERP

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish Well Delivery SHE goals, priorities, and key performance measures globally
• Oversee and monitors the effectiveness and quality of SHE programs in achieving – Client and Well Delivery goals and standards; provides summaries of program effectiveness and maturity
• Manage the incident notification, investigation and reporting process for wells projects  
• Oversees SHE audits in support of Well Delivery policies, Client and regulatory requirements
• Assist in Schedules audits and inspections of - rigs, and operational support locations
• Support the administration of the Well Delivery and Corporate Well Control and Oil Spill Response contracts
• Supervise all Well Delivery SHE personnel
