SHE Coordinator

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• SAMTRAC Experiential:
• Formal Safety Management Diploma.
• 5 years’ Experience preferably in a Manufacturing Environment

Key Role Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and compliance of SHE Policies and Procedures
• Operate according to standard operating procedures within the parameters of applicable legislation
• Implement and maintain adherence to safe working practices and policies
• Monitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace
• Maintain health, safety and security standards are always maintained
• Conduct Planned Task Observations and take appropriate action to address identified risks
• Conduct incident investigations and RCA
• Coordinate emergency evacuation drills
• Comply with the requirements of the SHE Management system
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements
• Conduct SHE Audits
• Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace
• Deal with safety, health and environmental emergencies
• Conduct incident investigations into workplace health, safety and environmental incidents
• Maintain and update SHE Notice Boards
• Conduct Toolbox meetings and SHE meetings
• Draft and manage site security protocols
• Oversee management of 3rd party security personal
• Promote good Corporate Governance
