SHE Co-ordinator

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Industry has an EE opportunity available for a SHE Coordinator, to be based in the Benoni, Johannesburg area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• NDip or Btech Health & Safety Management
• 5-10 Years Experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Government Gazettes and Safety Standards, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, audit and occupational health reports

KPAs:

• Control issue, numbering and logging of incident reports
• Update LTIFR, Green Cross Board, Injury Statistics, Hoshin Kanri and Metair Report from various reports received from Medical Centre, incident files, Salaries Department and Wages Department
• Schedule meetings for each month
• Ensure all contractors comply with all requirements
• Lead in Air Monitoring
• Ensure all items on permit register are renewed / obtained and update register regularly
• Ensure supply of dust masks/hazard tape etc.
• Fire drills/mock drills are carried out regularly
• Assist with ISO14001/45001 audits
• Carry out weekly plant and Smelter inspections
• Ensure fire equipment is maintained and serviced
