SEO Copywriter ( JB526)
Location: Remote, South Africa
Salary: Depending on experience, ZAR R70 - R105 per hour.
Hours: 22.5 per week
Job Type: Contractor
 
Remote position available for a candidate living in South Africa to assist our UK client with SEO Copywriting.  The opportunity is part time, to start immediately with around 22 hours a week and progressing to additional hours based on projects.

A leading local digital marketing firm is looking to expand their capacity by adding an experience SEO copywriter to the team. Based remotely, this role will focus on planning and writing new copy suitable for search engines, optimising existing copy and keyword research.
This is a remote position based in South Africa working for a company headquartered in the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Writing user friendly content that has been optimised for SEO.
• Keyword research.
• Meta description and title tag writing.
• Product descriptions.
• Content planning.

Requirements:

• Native English speaker
• Exceptional writing skills
• Ability to follow briefs to the letter
• Strong attention to detail
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• A passion for digital marketing and search engine optimisation
• A strong understanding of SEO and searcher intent
• Keyword research experience
• Experience posting content on WordPress & Shopify
• Strong wifi connection
• Ability to work to a tight deadline

Additional:
The following are not essential requirements.

• Degree in marketing or writing
• Experience using SEO software such as Ahrefs, SurferSEO & SEMrush
• SEO experience
• Experience using Magento and EKM
