SAP System Operator

SUMMARY:
Role for SAP Systems Operator in the Operations Department based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This position will report to the Shift Manager.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct activities related to SAP WMS support in a cost effective manner.
• Evaluate the cost impact of requests before executing same.
• Ensure that all warehouse SAP transactions executed by users are authorised .
• Address and resolve day to day user issues with respect to SAP WMS module.
• Ensure maintenance and accuracy of master data with respect to storage level, locations, palette stacking etc.
• Make changes to data based on weekly and monthly audits.
• Conduct trouble shooting of system problems and do first level problem solving.
• Validate the warehouse bins to ensure correct product is loaded.
• Manage all the breaches in the system.
• Ensure that SOP’s related to the system are adhered to at all times.
• Conduct audits to make sure stock is in the right place.
• Apply restrictions to stock before it is dispatched if the quality is not compliant.
• Escalate system errors that could not be solved internally to IT. 
• Compliance with Good Warehouse Practices and quality management. 
• Adhere to company’s Health and Safety rules, laws and regulations. 
• Conduct training of end-users on the SAP WMS module as well as on internal processes. 
• Take responsibility for self-development through self-study, identification of learning opportunities

Position Requirements

• Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA. 
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification. 
• Minimum of 2 - 5 years SAP systems experience within the FMCG / Retail industry. 
• Computer literate (MS Office) – Advanced experience in MS Excel is a must have. 
• Above average communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and a high level of follow through. 
• Ability to work independently however must also be a team player.
• Ability to interact and communicate with relevant departments within the organization. 
• Able to work rotational shifts and overtime if and when required.

Salary Range

Min 15K to 20k:
