SUMMARY:
Our client requires a candidate with strong trading experience in the Steel & Tube industry, to call on new and existing customers and increase market awareness. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 / equivalent

 

Experience and Requirements:

  • 3 or more years’ recent sales experience, reselling of steel and tube is essential
  • Valid driver’s license (a company vehicle will be provided)
  • Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans
  • Knowledge of the steel and tube retail industry
  • Strong trading and negotiating skills
  • Ability to close a deal
  • A stable work record and have contactable references
  • Please note you will be required to work Retail Hours: Monday to Thursday 07h30 – 17h00 and Fridays until 16h30 as well as alternative Saturdays and Public Holidays from 08h00 – 13h00

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to service new and existing customers
  • Reach and exceed sales targets
  • Quote customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Increase market share
  • Offer technical advice to Customers
  • Follow up on outstanding orders
  • Work closely with the sales team
