SUMMARY:
Our client requires a candidate with strong trading experience within a steel service centre.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

3-5 years’ sales experience and the ability to interact at senior level
A proven track record reselling steel is essential and is not negotiable
Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Reside in Bellville / Surrounding areas
Strong trading and negotiating skills
Ability to close a deal
A stable work record and have contactable references
Knowledge of Value-Added Operations would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and capable of effective time management.
Knowledge of engineering drawings.
Ability to calculate cut to size parts.
Ability to quote clients on various steel and stainless-steel products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Market the full range of products including stainless, aluminium and carbon steel.
Consistently achieve sales targets, report back on market, develop strategies to gain large market share.
Link the various departments in the value chain to meet the project requirements of the customers.
Negotiate at a senior level with customers.
Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives.
Proactively seek new business while maintaining current client base.
