SUMMARY:
Our client, a national distributor of Retail pumps, requires a candidate with more than 5 years recent management experience in the pumps industry to join their growing team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent

Experience and Requirements:

5 or more years recent experience in a management and trading role is essential
Extensive amount of knowledge in the retail and wholesale pumps and accessories industry is essential and not negotiable
Able to select a pump and read a pump curve
Computer literate: advanced skilled on Excel, Syspro would be an advantage
Strong trading as well as management skills
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A stable work record and contactable reference
Of sober habits
A valid driver’s license
Able to work retail hours
Work under pressure

Responsibilities:

Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, administration, and sales
Work closely with the Branch Manager, sales, and warehouse staff
Offer technical advice
Assist Customers with their pump selections
Increase branch sales
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
Ensure that stock is secure and that all efforts are made to alleviate any stock losses at the Branch.
Build, Motivate and maintain a strong team to support the objectives of the Branch.
