This role is ideally suited for recent graduates with a science degree or experienced detailing representatives wanting to advance their career in a high-growth environment. Full training is provided for candidates entering the industry for the first time.
About the Role
As a
Doctor Detailing Representative, you will play a key role in educating and promoting pharmaceutical products to
general practitioners, specialists, clinics, and hospitals in your assigned territory. You will build strong professional relationships with healthcare providers, increase product awareness, and support safe, compliant, and effective product use—while driving sales growth.
What You Will Be Doing
Product Detailing & Education- Present and promote pharmaceutical products to doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Communicate clinical benefits, usage guidelines, and scientific information with confidence.
- Stay up to date with relevant medical and product knowledge.
Relationship & Territory Management- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with doctors, specialists, and clinical staff.
- Plan, schedule, and manage regular calls to practices, clinics, and hospitals.
- Identify opportunities for business growth within your territory.
Sales & Performance Monitoring- Achieve sales targets and performance objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and reporting tools.
Training & Development- Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.
- Continuously improve communication, presentation, and negotiation techniques.
Compliance & Ethics- Adhere to industry regulations and ethical promotion standards.
- Follow internal compliance procedures for detailing, promotion, and product communication.
Pharmacovigilance Responsibilities- Communicate product safety profiles clearly and accurately.
- Identify and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) or safety concerns promptly.
- Document and relay medical queries and safety-related feedback to internal teams.
- Participate in safety and pharmacovigilance training sessions.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a medical science field (Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, etc.).
Skills & Attributes- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging healthcare professionals.
- Ability to understand and explain complex scientific content.
- Motivated, competitive, and eager to learn.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Other Requirements- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
