Route Optimisation Specialist

POSITION INFO:

Join this highly innovative and leading producer and supplier of premium silica sand products used in the mining, glass, and ceramic industries, as their Transportation Management Coordinator / Route Optimisation Specialist.

This is a newly created opportunity to support the companies growing need to excel their service delivery to clients on a national basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

             Assist with creating customized standard operating procedures

             Communicates with managed and incumbent carriers on the customer route guide

             Generates reports at the request of customer’s or management

             Responds timely to client requests and inquiries

             Resolves client issues quickly and efficiently

             Manages delivery routing guides

             Schedules appointments and tracks deliveries

             Executes delivery optimisation activities

             Uses transportation software systems to facilitate delivery execution

Requirements:

             Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics

             2 – 5 Years’ experience in customer service in the aggregate industry/mining industry preferred

             Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills

             Professional aptitude, presentation, and demeanor

             Experience with Microsoft Office and Advance Excel a must
