Purpose
The Route Controller is responsible for the preparation of the daily Delivery plan, monitoring the progress of Deliveries,Communicating the Route revisions to the Customer as well as the events that will have an impact on the Customers delivery.
Key Functional Responsibilities
Daily Route Planning.
Use daily volume requirement to prepare the daily delivery plan.
Plan bust routes and ensure minimal impact on customer.
Plan customer special delivery requirements.
Agree delivery schedule revisions with customer.
Daily Vehicle Monitoring. Monitor delivery progress.
Report delivery delays per procedure.
Report incidents en route that may impact on deliveries.
Customer Communication .
Communicate delivery schedule revisions to the customer at least 12 hours before delivery.
Communicate delays or plan deviations that may impact the customer timeously.
Keep the customer up-to-date on the progress of their delivery where delays have occurred
Matric not a prerequisite but relevant working experience is needed. (this is non negotiable)
