Route Controller - Road, Sea and Air Freight - Imports / Exports

They are currently recruiting for a Route Controller with knowledge of Ships Agency and Freight Industry.

Requirements:

• Matric
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Route Controller
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, Corefreight and / or Compuclear
• Exposure to Forwarding
• Experience with general cargo import and export clearing
• Freight Industry Knowledge
• Working knowledge of controlled goods documentation (e.g. Perishable & Dangerous goods)
• Routing knowledge
• Working knowledge of 3^rd party quality control authorities’ procedures (State Vet and SABS etc).
• Sound knowledge of Bond & Acquittal procedures
• Ability to get cargo from anywhere in the world and shipped or air freighted into the country.

Responsibilities:

• Receive shipping instructions
• Plan sea freight shipments
• Plan air freight shipments
• Tariff and rate structure
• Export and Import documentation and procedures (Customs, TPT, TNPA, Shipping lines etc)
• Cartage administration
• Invoicing clients

To be successful in this role you need to have high attention to details skills coupled with above average written and verbal communication skills in English.
