Risk Specialist (Financial Services)

R1m - R1.1m plus bonus

Cape Town or Gauteng

Superb career opportunity with lading financial services group for seasoned risk specialist. Reporting into the COO of Group Balance Sheet Management you will be responsible for managing and implementing a robust governance value chain including risk management strategy and policy development and roll-out in accordance with Group Audit Risk and Compliance Committee and to support the GBSM team in performing governance and risk-related responsibilities. It involves monitoring, escalating, and reporting material risk events to the GBSM COO, ensuring appropriate governance structures are in effect, with the primary objective of contributing to the overall success and achievement of the stated business objectives.

Qualifications and experience

B.Com (Hons) or CA
5 years’ experience in risk/control environment /Audit within the Financial Services Industry is essential.
Sound experience in Financial and operational risk.
Proactive, self-starter, able to show initiative and work with minimal guidance.
