Risk Officer (IT & Operations)

POSITION INFO:
Reporting to the Head of Risk, the Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing potential threats to the organization’s goals. This role is designed for an analytical professional with a proactive mindset, dedicated to enhancing operational risk management and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and continually improve risk management policies and procedures.
• Implement risk methodologies and streamline risk processes for efficiency.
• Manage the risk register and appetite dashboards, delivering clear, real-time insights.
• Collaborate on the Combined Assurance Reports and oversee internal controls.
• Identify and address operational risk events promptly.
• Drive the digitization of risk tools to elevate operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA & PAIA frameworks through regular reviews and updates.
• Promote a strong culture of risk awareness throughout the organization.
• Engage effectively with key stakeholders, including EXCO, to advance the risk agenda.

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk or operational roles.
