SUMMARY:
Are you an Audit or Risk professional looking to make an impact in a forward-thinking organization? A renowned securities depository is seeking a talented Risk Officer to join their team, bringing expertise and strategic insight to safeguard the company’s operational objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Reporting to the Head of Risk, the Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and managing potential threats to the organization’s goals. This role is designed for an analytical professional with a proactive mindset, dedicated to enhancing operational risk management and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and continually improve risk management policies and procedures.
Implement risk methodologies and streamline risk processes for efficiency.
Manage the risk register and appetite dashboards, delivering clear, real-time insights.
Collaborate on the Combined Assurance Reports and oversee internal controls.
Identify and address operational risk events promptly.
Drive the digitization of risk tools to elevate operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with POPIA & PAIA frameworks through regular reviews and updates.
Promote a strong culture of risk awareness throughout the organization.
Engage effectively with key stakeholders, including EXCO, to advance the risk agenda.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

Experience:

At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk or operational roles.
