We are currently looking for a Risk Manager. This is a contract position. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• A Bachelors’ degree (Risk Management, Audit, Accounting or equivalent)
• 5 years operational risk management experience of which 3 years must be at management level.
• Registration with the relevant professional body (i.e. Institute of Risk Management S.A. - IRMSA)

Job Description:

1. Ensuring that a risk register is developed to identify and rank risks for the identified projects.
2. Verifying that the risks identified are applicable and suitable for the specific project type.
3. Verify and guide the process of identifying project and operational risks that are applicable to specific projects.
4. Coaching project teams on suitable risk management methods by assisting with facilitation of workshops to upskill project teams.
5. Verifying that risks registers are not merely copied from previous projects but to guide the project team in a critical risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and documentation process.
6. Assisting with in performing QRAs and ensuring that the QRA represents the risks that are applicable to the four QRA dimensions of risk drivers, i.e., cost estimate, schedule, risk register, and systemic risks.
7. Seeking and connecting cross-project risks where combined mitigation strategies will avoid duplication of effort between projects that share risks.
8. Monitoring and intervening with the risk management process of projects during execution to ensure that risks are actively managed
