Risk Claims Manager- Group Risk

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Provider seeks to employ a Risk Claims Manager  reporting to the Divisional Head with strong working experience entailing Group Life, Disabiility, Monthly Disability, funeral, credit life & Group Personal Accident claims,  managing a team

Purpose

Responsible for the daily management, validating and reporting within the department regards to Risk claims, which entails group life, disability, monthly disability, funeral, credit life and group personal accident benefits.

KPA’s / Key outputs

• Daily management of staff reporting to you within the department
• Providing weekly and monthly reporting of claims status for:
• Internal
• Clients
• Binder reporting
• Validating calculations as to benefits payable in respect of all pending claim reporting
• Ensuring claims are attended and finalised within the required SLA’s
• Ensure reports are compiled correctly and issued within agreed timeframes
• Final assessing of claim documents within the Funeral, Group Life, Permanent Disability and

Temporary Total Disability/PHI benefits and ensuring accuracy on settlement values

• Compiling results into report format.
• Providing underwriters with necessary documents for approval.
• Experience with Ombudsman queries handling.
• Query handling and attention to detail
• Attend client meetings with regards to claims reporting

 Qualifications and Experience required

• Matric
• 5 years experience within the Group Risk Employee benefits environment
• Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant tertiary qualification or employee benefit related studies.
• Good understanding of Excel, Word, Teams

 Knowledge

An excellent understanding of risk benefit structures and policy conditions in an employee benefits environment is required.

• Processing funeral, death and disability claims.
