Risk Analyst: Fraud

SUMMARY:
Your primary focus in this role will be to provide critical information and analytical support for the effective monitoring and control of the company’s risk exposure across a number of consumer lending portfolios

POSITION INFO:

The Job.

• You will be working closely with Fraud Department and ensuring that the Risk and Fraud Departments are always aligned on any rule or fraud-tool changes.
• Test the implementation of any strategy changes that are implemented in a live decisioning system
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and research to help understand and mitigate fraud events.
• Conduct ongoing analysis to understand efficacy of current rule sets; to make changes to current rules sets and to suggest new rules which would involve Fraud Department and third-party input.
• Manage the transition from using fraud rules to using fraud scores by collaborating with the company’s internal Decision Science team or, depending on scope of work, an external third party
• Engage with the wider business to present detailed analyses which give reassurance that the fraud tools are being effectively utilised to mitigate fraud.

The Requirements

• A relevant numerically focused degree  
• > 2 years’ experience in Credit Risk Analysis on personal lending products
• > 2 years’ experience in Data Manipulation and Analysis using SAS, SQL or other data analysis tools
• > 2 years’ experience in the compilation of reports based on information retrieved and analysed
• Business Acumen
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong ability to interpret data and communicate this to influence key stakeholders
• Expert attention to detail
• Quality control of output data
