Rigger

Our client in the Engineering Industry, has an EE opportunity available for a Rigger in the Cape Town area. This is a fixed term contract role ending December 2022.

Requirements:

• Matriculation Certificate or Equivalent
• Valid Drivers licence - Code 14
• Valid Crane Operators certificate
• Red Seal Rigger qualification
• Crane operation and rigging experience of 5 years each
• Machine-moving working experience essential

Main Purpose of Job:

• Set up rigging for the lifting, moving or loading of loads
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to the weight and size of the load to be moved
• Co-ordinate and direct other workers and the movement of equipment to accomplish the task
