Minimum Requirements:
-Well presented, professional Afrikaans speaking individual
-Afrikaans and English first and second languages a must (NOT negotiable – Afr & Eng clients & suppliers)
-Matric / Grade 12
-Relevant Diploma/Degree from a Tertiary Educational Institute obtained
-Minimum 3 years experience AS A BUYER, in retail and industrial purchasing a must (KEY REQUIREMENT - NOT NEGOTIABLE)
-Strong administrative skills
-Computer literate in MS Office (Pastel Evolution proficiency advantageous)
-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Able to work large volumes.
-Excellent verbal and communication skills with fluency in Afrikaans and English.
-Responsible and reliable.
-Stable employment record
-Contactable References
-To start as soon as possible (preferably immediately)
Duties:
-Full buyer functions of wholesales packaging products supplier (Integral part of the Procurement function in the Company)
-Placing orders
-Manage stock levels – Inventory optimisation
-Price negotiations
-Souring quality suppliers and stock
-Identifying / sourcing of stock items
-Contact suppliers in writing or by telephone for any queries
-Follow-up with suppliers concerning deliveries / special orders
-Assist Sales Department with special stock inquiries.
-Engage with suppliers / colleagues and clients in a professional manner.
-Stock Taking
-Provide feedback to management.
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (Market relation R-----.00 – R 18 000.00 gross)
