POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Rewards, Employee Benefits and Wellness Officer

Location: Johannesburg (East Rand)
Salary: commensurate with experience and qualification + benefits

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Minimum of 3 years Payroll Administration, Financial / Human Resources tertiary qualification or minimum 3 years Degree qualification
• Minimum of 3 years experiences ad Benefits Administrator and further 2 years experience as Benefits / Officer or Manager
• Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook)
• Minimum 5 years experience of Sage 300 Payroll and WSS
• Progress demonstration of establishing and implementing appropriate remuneration structures and strategies within corporate environment
• Ability to demonstrate, influence and execute remuneration and benefits strategies at a senior level
• A strong financial skill set in the employee benefits and administration environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management and service providers
• A team player with strong leadership abilities
• Ability to work with minimal human supervision other than requirements per official procedures
• Microsoft products – v-lookups, pivots, mail merging, reports, professional writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels

Key Performance Areas:

• Administering and managing the day to day function
• Updating and reconciliation of contribution payments
• Process withdrawals from the retirement funds and medical aid for resignations, retirements, death and disability
• Attend to queries – both written and telephonic
• Presenting to staff on request whenever administration presentation are required
• Assist HR in the facilitation of the induction process for employee benefits and advise employees of their benefit options and plans
• Facilitate the application / removal of all members and their dependents
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation
• facilitate and promote sharing information around employee benefits and reward in the induction process and employee life cycle
• Deal with post retirement and death, resignation withdrawals forms for the medical aid and retirement funds
• Assist with staff queries and employee education around employee benefits
• Processing of temporary and permanent disability claims
• Maintenance and updating of WSS
• Ensure al relevant benefits information is regularly updated, shared and distributed to all stakeholders
• Reconcile all service provider schedules on or before due date
• Avoid penalties due to late submission of schedule and payment
• Facilitate Workmen’s Compensation processes and payments
