SUMMARY:
Retirement Village Manager- Pietermaritzburg

POSITION INFO:

A vacancy has arisen for a well-rounded Manager to join an established leader in senior care and take on full responsibility for their premier retirement village complex based in Pietermaritzburg.

The Manager will have general oversight of all facets of the retirement village including resident liaison, administration, staff management, maintenance issues and other project-based work. The role requires proactive decision making and leadership in a participative environment, as well as financial management aspects such as preparation of budgets and reading of financial statements.

  Requirements:

  • Matric plus a relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 5 years in a professional management position within a retirement complex setting
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels
  • Excellent financial/ business acumen
  • Computer literacy
  • Sound staff management ability
  • A positive personality with an empathetic and compassionate approach and good sense of humour, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and show initiative.
