Retail Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Retail Operations Manager – Permanent – R29k/month – JHB – Immediate Start

POSITION INFO:

Our client in JHB is looking for a Retail Operations Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of a business run smoothly by effectively handling the logistics of the shops, assisting with preparation of budgets & stock management and overseeing the supervision of HODs and employees. The Operations Manager works to improve the working environment and business processes of the shops.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Office management.
• Ensure safety regulations are adhered to.
• Staff supervision training
• Oversee customer service per H.O.D’s and assess that they are meeting customer satisfaction goals/Dialogue with clientele about customer service issues or queries.
• Prepare, revise and submit reports, budgets and other documentation of departments.
• Communicate information to the departments filtered for management.
• Implement quality management and regulatory compliance strategies.
• Review customer reviews and customer related statistics.
• Develop a Retail growth strategy for the business
• Develop and enhance shops so that they remain the leading charity shops by revenue, market share and reputation in South Africa.
• Compile reports on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues to present to the Management Committee

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Qualification in Retail Management or Operations Management.
• Min 5 years work experience in a retail or charity shop environment at Regional /Operations Management level.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience in the operation of a till or cash register.
• Experience in handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Retail or sales training certification.
• Strong supervisory skills and experience
• Have comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, design, testing and implementation
