Retail Assistant

SUMMARY:
Retail Assistant required to join a top end design and decor house in the Ballito area.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

Showroom:

• Ensuring that the retail area is always in an impeccable state
• Overseeing cleaning Staff with relation to Retail Area
• Ensuring sufficient stock Packaging and related products
• Shop till point and Reception house-keeping
• Shop wellbeing ie ensuring the shop mood is constant i.e. soft music, fresh flowers etc.

Shop Sales:

• Be responsible for daily sales, cash up and daily balancing of till float. (Pastel - Point of Sale)
• Upselling items and setting goals for shop sales, with Management
• Weekly Sales Meeting with Management

Shop Stock:

• Checking that all items are in good order and displaying prices
• Monthly stock take
• Online Sales

Shop Orders:

• Control of shop orders, dealing with Suppliers for new orders
• Following up timeously on outstanding orders
• Discuss requirements and news for instagram etc

Clients: 

• Assisting Clients with product and advise thereof
• Monitoring onitoring and following up of outstanding payments for shop sales and Appro’s

Assist with: 

• Client development and Client relations
• Canvassing Décor Clients for Design Side
• Introduce to the Design Team by way of an appointment
• Interact with Decorators, they are big potential clients, keep them informed when new stocks arrive, maintaining relationships and keeping contact information up to date.
• Check Decorators credentials

General: 

• General administration relating to the shop ie emails, filing etc
• Attend to Switchboard
• Deal with Switchboard and any telephone related issues in Office
• Ensure Tv, Dvd player and radio are maintained and in working order
• Maintenance of all Office and Shop Lighting and Lamps
• Assisting with Administration Duties when Required
• Any further duties that may be required from time to time
