Retail Accountant

POSITION INFO:

Oversee 1 or more finance clerks
Review all payments, wages, and salaries
Pass journals, VAT recon, GL/payroll system recon
Reconcile Trial Balance
Prepare management accounts, analyse and present to the director
Prepare the annual budget
Meeting with insurance broker annually, evaluate risk vs cost and present to directors
Oversee COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, EMP501’s/IRP5’s, CIPC submissions
Assist in the rental portfolio by reviewing lease offers, agreements, summarising thereof and arranging bank guarantees.
Be the key contact with auditors and SARS
 
Skills & Experience:
Completed SAIPA articles or signing off by December 2024
Post-article experience will be highly beneficial
Strong ability to manage various personalities from store staff to upper management
Management and leadership ability
Exposure to Lease agreements beneficial
 
Qualification:
Completed degree in Finance
Completed Articles, or due to sign off by December 2024
