Restaurant Area Manager

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Area Manager for a popular Coffee Shop group for a selected number of their stores in the Gauteng area

Responsibilities

• Directing, motivating and leading multiple stores in the Gauteng area
• Guiding Restaurant Managers to ensure that store gains market share and achieve customer, people and profit objectives
• Coordination of all staff training for all levels within the store
• Conducting monthly audits and daily check-ups on the Stores relating to product quality, stock taking, financial management and hygiene procedures
• Identifying of any maintenance issues in the Stores
• Weekly store visits, including checks to ensure adherence to all company policies
• Staff Management – staffing requirements, leave, motivation, discipline and performance
• Overseeing of staff rosters and time sheets
• When required relieving of store Managers
• Assist with the opening of new Stores
• Handle escalated customer complaints, queries

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• A relevant Hospitality qualification is preferred
• MUST have own reliable car and valid driver’s license
• MUST have 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Area Manager in the Restaurant industry
• MUST have managed at least 5 Stores at the same time
• GAAP/Micros or similar POS experience is essential
• Good MS Office experience
• Must be able to travel regularly
• Salary is dependent on relevant operational experience and skill set
• MUST be prepared to take a Polygraph test
