R8000 – R10 000 per month CTC

Large Medical Scheme business is seeking an Industry Research Assistant for the Medical Aid Division based in Durbanville, Cape Town

This post is open to young candidates who have recently graduated, training will be provided for this role

JOB PURPOSE:

The Industry and Research Assistant will focus on a specific target industry (Agriculture, Hospitality, Printing or Mining) as identified by the Company. To grow the footprint within this market, the incumbent conducts research, “opens doors”, sets up appointments and becomes an expert in the allocated target industry. This role will eventually become a sales role within the allocated niche market(s).

Requirements:

Grade 12.

Relevant diploma and/or degree in Sales Management / Business Management or similar field

Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Willing to travel extensively.

At least 1-2 years of solid sales and/or marketing experience within the Financial/Healthcare industry beneficial.

Between 1-2 years’ experience within identified niche market(s) beneficial.

Ability to identify prospective clients.

Present and speak clearly and confidently.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Computer literate, especially in relation to Excel, Power Point and MS Office suit.

Exudes confidence in skills and ability to learn new skills.

Exceptional professional presence.

Duties includes, but are not limited to:

Conduct market research within specific niche market(s) allocated, to identify prospective clients, as per targets set.

Focus on gaining access to the right type of organizational information, for sales and market development opportunities, by ensuring information gathered provides valuable insight to the relevant internal stakeholders.

Actively participate in cold calling regarding prospective clients identified, as per target set.

Be innovative in developing creative and new ways of sourcing information from clients and organizations.

Act as an introduction point between clients identified within niche market(s) and senior staff, to ensure an increase in overall sales.

Compile detailed reports on engagement with corporate stakeholders within respective industries.

Travel to local as well as outlying regions for on-the-ground interaction with employers identified within niche markets, to gain access to meaningful information regarding employee benefits, organizational policies.

Conduct broader industry research, through these interactions, with leading industry players and associations.

Build relationships with clients and maintain same throughout.

Provide information gathered to correct internal stakeholders, for needs analysis purposes
