SUMMARY:
There is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and knowledgeable Tax and Reporting Accountant in a progressive and renowned company. Apply now and your duties could include ensuring the company’s’ compliance with the statutory and International Financial Reporting Standards’ requirements as well as managing the output of the financial accounting function through internal control environment maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prepare group Provisional Tax Computations
Prepare and maintain group tax forecast models to predict and forecast tax liabilities
Group Annual financial statement preparation in terms of IFRS
Review internal processes and suggest improvements to assist the department/company to be more efficient.
Assist with special projects, cost control initiatives and monitoring of company performance
Deal with administration of electronic procurement, budgeting, and ERP systems (including ancillary electronic systems.
Financial reporting, planning and analysis
Oversee month-end closure in line with financial deadlines
Manage and improve by automating the business processes of monthly and quarterly close.
Ensure the general ledger transactions are recorded in the ERP system in line with SA Income Tax Act and VAT Act requirements
Conduct team meetings, manage leave, schedule and coordinate the day-to-day activities of team members

Skills & Experience:
Property and NPO experience preferential
Self-motivated and deadline-driven individual
Good interpersonal skills
An organised and passionate individual

Qualification:
BCom from a three-year College or University
Completed SAICA articles OR CA(SA) OR CIMA
Understanding and knowledge of the South African Income Tax Act and Financial Reporting Standards.
Minimum of 3 years post article experience
