Release Manager

SUMMARY:
Responsible for implementing and managing release processes for code and software/system/hardware upgrades through various environments (including Dev, Test, UAT, SIT and Production)

POSITION INFO:

A continuously growing company within the Insurance industry is looking for a Release Maanger to join a successful team implementing and managing release processes.

 Job & Company Description:

Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across Software Development & IT Operations

• Lead the CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews
• Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
• Produce Deployment and Implementation Plans
• Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and activities
• Coordinate releases internal as well as third party applications and vendor updates
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locationsRelease Reporting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in Release Management with solid understanding of release management principles
• 5+ years of experience in information systems, operations environments, system analysis or development
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (more specially agile methodologies and Release Trains)
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
