SUMMARY:
Our external client tin the Logistics sector is looking for Release Coordinator for the planning and coordination, of all phases and activities, involved in the release of a system, or system update, into the production environment. The successful candidate would also need to ensure that the release deployment plan is followed and that all release deliverables have been completed within the release dates and deadlines.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Function:
  • Facilitates release planning meetings with key stakeholders to identify proper sequencing of release events. Ensures that issues and risks are identified, understood, and dealt with in a manner that mitigates risk to scope and schedule.
  • Coordinates with management to determine when and where to most efficiently pilot and deploy applications, after they are tested.
  • Communicates the testing and deployment plans with all affected parties
  • Coordinates the schedule of Pilots, and Rollouts so that application deployments are properly sequenced and are therefore deployed as efficiently as possible. Maintains a Release calendar.
  • Defines and documents the release recommendation for each release and/or change to production. Includes release scope, schedule, deliverables, and roll back plan.
  • Documents and communicates all changes for a release in release notes
  • Attends change management and deployment planning meetings to collect data and information pertaining to the release.
  • Coordinates and schedules key change to production activities. This includes the tracking of all elements with team leads as the project moves through testing regions into production.
  • Supports release execution by monitoring of each phase of the release (Testing, Pilot, Rollout). Validates the release as it progresses through various release phases, alerts appropriate stakeholders of any errors or issues that need to be addressed.
  • Travel, as needed, to all sites within his / her parameter to conduct onsite training
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL Framework (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad range of people in a professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and to deliver high quality results on time
  • Ability to find solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Experience of working across a global platform with colleagues/clients from different jurisdictions, cultures and time zones would be advantageous
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
  • Qualification in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Process Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Training, Deployment
  • Willingness to frequently travel internationally
