Regulatory and Compliance Consultant

Our client is a highly reputable international firm that has an exciting opportunity in MALTA for a Regulatory & Compliance Consultant with experience in Anti Money Laundering Practices. As a Consultant, you will form part of a team and be involved in a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities with the expectation to:

• Act as a front in assisting and supporting clients to develop an understanding of operational processes and controls, and support in assessing their effectiveness in mitigating Compliance-related risks;
• Carry out Anti Money Laudering-related audits or gap assessments;
• Assist clients in either carrying out business risk assessments and/or putting in place an adequate customer risk assessment methodology;
• Develop or assist in updating client’s relevant policies, procedures and standards;
• Support clients with various compliance-related customer queries and complaints;
• Create and deliver clients’ employee training and awareness;
• Provide ongoing compliance support to clients;
• Develop and maintain a strong communication channel with clients at all times;

You will receive internal training, however the following competencies are a requirement: 

• A University degree or equivalent in a business, legal or compliance discipline;
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a compliance role;
• Have a clear understanding of AML and all the compliance related laws and regulations;
• Possess an understanding of regulatory compliance, investigations and audits;
• Be proficient in English
