Regulatory Test Engineer required for a global company in Edinburgh.
The team (who have an impressive list of high-profile customers) and are an ever-growing global company themselves are looking to add a Regulatory / Approvals Test Engineer to their close-knit team. The company''s products are used across the world by everyone from individuals in their homes, or emergency services in public.
You''ll need to be a proactive and communicative person - you''ll be one of only a few people in this role working closely with a small team of designers, approving and ensuring that the products hold up to regulatory standards.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Creating regulatory test plans for new products
* Creating regulatory test plans for product enhancements or changes
* Source regulatory testing
* Working with R&D to understand firmware needing to support product
* Support test labs as they execute test plan
* Work with telecommunications certification bodies (TCB) to award compliance certificate for FCC /IC standards
* Create and maintain technical files and declarations of conformity
* Create regulatory documentation for users
* Be aware of regulatory changes and plan accordingly
* Work with the wider regulatory team within the company
You will have most of the following skills/experience:
* Understanding of global regulatory requirements
* EN 62133, UN38.3 battery safety
* EN 62368 product safety
* Efficiency and safety power supply regulations in multiple countries
* UL safety
* Have prior experience in an electronics R&D environment
* Manage multiple projects at once
Salary wise this role can offer up to £45,000 but has a generous benefits package alongside this that includes two different bonuses(!), one of which is a given. On top of this, they can offer medical care, private and a private pension.
Due to security reasons you will need to hold a valid visa, and have been in the UK for the last five years. The role is not able to offer sponsorship.
