JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Regulatory Associate will deliver timely and accurate reporting requirements and requested information by preparing reports and analysis to enable business processes. The incumbent will also be responsible for reporting as and when necessary to various regulators. Good stakeholder engagement and management experience. Liaise with Compliance, Risk and all other Business Units.

Client Details

The Regulatory Associate will be joining the Fintech / Digital Banking industry. Head Office is based in Johannesburg.

Description

The Regulatory Associate will be responsible for:

Ensuring tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.

Assisting the governance and risk executives in completing the necessary regulatory reports and due to various regulators as and when necessary.

Compiling quarterly committee meetings packs. Meetings include Audit and Compliance, and Risk and Capital committee, Combined assurance Forum, and Board Committees.

Provide support to the product committee in preparation for reports to the Exco and board.

Obtain detailed understanding of problems identified and ensure communication to relevant parties to ensure the problems identified are addressed by appropriate responsible parties.

Ensure a detailed understanding of the identified issues to make reports as efficient as possible - and easily changeable.

Provide support to other projects affecting the broader governance and risk team.

Portfolio support and management / servicing by working closely with the portfolio managers, accountants, reinsurance team and other internal stakeholders.

Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.

Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.

Participate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitate feedback and provide exceptional client service within the organisation.

Assist with ad hoc projects, such as changes in regulatory and reporting standards that require related changes to be made.

Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.

Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.

Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.

Profile

The Regulatory Associate will meet the following requirements:

3 - 5 years' regulatory experience.

Extensive, proven experience in regulatory reporting.

Experience in a similar role within financial services will be a strong advantage.

Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with high degree of accuracy.

Good time management and the ability to work independently, proactively and within required deadlines.

Strong planning, organisational, co-ordination, administrative and writing skills.

Good networking, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to conduct research.

Writing and proof reading of reports and documents.

Strong analytical, organisational, written/oral communication skills and attention to detail.

Multitasking capabilities and flexibility to adjust to a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.

Ability to adapt to and accept change.

Job Offer

Paying up to a maximum of R580K CTC per annum.
