Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

SUMMARY:

A private psychiatric healthcare facility situated in the east rand of Johannesburg, is seeking the professional services of a Psychiatric Nurse.

POSITION INFO:

The key responsibilities will include:

·         Treatment of psychiatric disorders and substance abuse

·         Manage comprehensive nursing care plans for the patients

·         Ensure delivery of quality patient care and satisfaction

·         Assist in maintaining an environment which is both emotionally and physically safe for the patients and staff members e.g. SHEQ and Infection Control

·         Assist with coaching and mentoring of staff members

·         Assist with all patient complaints

·         Adhere to the company requirements related to stock management and correct case management & billing processes  

Education requirements:

Nursing Diploma with Psychiatric Nursing OR Nursing Degree

Post-basic Psychiatric qualification would be advantage

Minimum of 2 years nursing experience within a Psychiatric unit

Previous working experience within a private facility is required

Ability to work flexi-hours as per unit operational requirements

Computer literate
