Our client, a Rotary Development Retirement Village is seeking the assistance of a Registered Nurse to provide an ongoing holistic assessment of residents, including physical, mental and social well-being. The ideal candidate would have proven experience in Geriatric Care including knowledge and experience in Alzheimer's and Dementia care.

The first few months would be on a shift rotation excluding night shifts. Candidates are required to be registered with SANC.

Minimum Requirements:
SANC registered
Knowledge and experience of Alzheimer's and dementia care will be an advantageous
Proven work experience in Geriatric Care
Valid driver's license
Computer literate
Must be willing to work shifts
Covid 19 Vaccinated

Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of the care team, the appointed Registered Nurse will, among other things, be responsible for:
The ongoing holistic assessment of residents, including physical, mental and social well-being.
The planning, implementation and monitoring of person-directed care plans for all residents within Millenium Park, whether carried out personally or indirectly.
Consultation with and coordinate a multidisciplinary team that manages and reviews residents' care plans.
Management of and participation in teams that deliver care within a 24/7 environment.
Management of a skilled staff corps
Medication management as per prescription and regulations
Accurate reporting and record keeping according to social policy and legal prescriptions
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure while remaining composed and compassionate
