Registered Nurse - Emergency Unit

POSITION INFO:

My client  whose a private hospital urgently looking for a Registered Nurse to work in the emergency department, they are a very negotiable. 

Requirements:

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse. 
• Must be Trauma Trained or Experienced with ACLS.
• Previous experience in a similar position in a private hospital. 
• Ensures that patient records and registers meet legal requirements. 
• Competent in demonstration and assessment of alo clinical procedures and management of risks.
• A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice and knowledge of patient care.. 
• Basic knowledge of stock control principles. 
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, scientific nursing process and BCA principles.
• Sound knowledge of nursing activities and procedures as per Scope of Practice of a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Trained. 

Key outputs:

• Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care to meet the health needs of the patients.
• Prevent, report and manages medico- legal risks in the unit.
• Conducts comprehensive patient care audits.
• Control of stock and equipment in the unit.
• Ensures a therapeutic and safe patient environment by maintaining health and safety standards and complying with infection prevention and control procedures.
