SUMMARY:
A vacancy for an experienced Cardiac nurse is available at a speciality hospital situated in Durban. The key role is to render clinical care and support patients with various heart diseases and conditions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key duties:

Assist doctors in performing medical tests
Educate and inform patients about the best disease prevention methods and healthy lifestyle
Nursing care to patients pre and post surgery
Monitor patients vital signs, assess heart performance and observing abnormal heart rhythms
Administer medication as prescribed

Education and knowledge:

Nursing Diploma or Degree and SANC registered
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience of Cardiac and Medical patients
Good knowledge of treating patients with heart attack, angina and heart failure etc
Good knowledge of using medical equipment related to cardiac patients
