SUMMARY:
Registered Nurse required for Retirement Resort in the Strand Cape Town

POSITION INFO:

Our Client, a well established Retirement resort situated in the Strand is looking for a reqistered nurse to join their staffing compliment. 

The position involves the full spectrum of geriatric care for the elderly in the retirement resort and care unit. Applications from enthusiastic, responsible and motivated healthcare professionals are welcomed for this position.  

Requirements 

A qualified nurse with a valid annual registration with the SA Nursing Council.

Five years or more experience of elderly care, as recently as 6 months ago. 

Possess knowledge and application skills regarding scheduled medication and its control. 

Excellent wound care knowledge and skill. 

Infection control experience specifically with regard to Covid 19 regulations within an elderly environment.

Is skilled in managing quality care services to the elderly. 

Can manage staff productivity to provide excellent service to all residents at all times. 

A strong leader and proficient in writing reports.

Has Clinical experience in the management of geriatric conditions. 

Must be willing to work shifts, which include day and night shift as well as weekends. 

Fluency in Afrikaans is a pre-requisite. 

Computer literate on Microsoft Office package.
