Regional Sales & Distribution Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our client a leading Premium Alcohol Distributor that caters for both on and off Trade is seeking to employ a Regional Sales & Distribution Manager to be based at their Umhlanga Offices.

Report to: National Sales manager

Qualifications: Minimum Grade 12, Driver''s licence, Computer literate - Degree and/or experience in the field preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate team and individual call cycles as to ensure all geographical outlets and call requirements are met.
• Daily management of the sales team and ensuring that the Brand Sales team adhere to the following:

1)Calling on their outlets as per their respective call cycles

2)Achieve all daily calls as per call cycle and drive sales targets per outlet

3)Ensure general well-being of the teams and ensure that the teams are safe at all the time in   the field by identifying threats

4)Generate daily gap-list to help teams identify opportunities in their outlets

5)Adhere to all required deadlines and reporting requirements

6)Adhere to all Company policies and procedures

Sales Team

• Manage Key Account relationships in the KZN Region and facilitate national cycle events implementation
• Provide expertise knowledge in the field to assist the individual members achieve target and handle objections
• Manage team resources and ensuring that the team has all the necessary tools of the trade to work effectively like POS and stationery.
• Assist and conduct in-field assessments with an active supporting role to ensure an increase in volume
• Focus and drive daily operational standards and requirements inclusive of all targets
• Understand all brand requirements and targets and ensure ongoing measurement and implementation
• Set and monitor clear performance objectives for all team members and ensure they are achieved daily.
• Performance counselling’s, performance discussions and performance management to be implemented as per the team requirements
• Develop highly motivated and efficient sales staff. This will involve preparing and implementing development plans for each individual and accompanying representatives on a one-on-one basis at least once a week
• Conduct in trade assessments with all Brand Sales Specialists
• Any employees who have not reported for work / leave taken
• Database / new outlets
• Weekly meeting feedback
