Regional Returns Processor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture and reconciliation of returns on the system
• Deals with and resolves breaks in the returns payments
• Process transactions to council benefit funds
• Resolve queries relating to returns
• Resolve unallocated cash
• Attend to walk-in clients
• Cash receipt and banking
• Assist with Credit Control, legal and Inspectorate return queries
• Follow up on outstanding returns
• Attend to Union membership resignations

• Good communication skills – Verbal, Written and Listening
• Ability to withstand pressure
• Must at all times be diplomatic and assertive
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Problem  solving skills
• Ability to build strong effective relationships with colleagues and management
• Must be a good team player and achieve objectives
• Must be meticulous in carrying out tasks/instructions etc
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong accounts reconciliation experience

Qualifications

• Matric /Grade 12 with Accounting and / or Maths passed well (Essential Requirement)
• Business and / or accounting qualification advantageous
